Hello Beautiful Golden Anchor Quilting Community!

Today something pretty incredible happened… and we couldn’t wait to share it with you.

While at AQS New England Quilt Week in Hartford, Louisa had the opportunity to meet nationally renowned free motion quilting educator RaNae Merrill in person. What started as a conversation quickly turned into something much bigger.

We connected instantly—over teaching, over quilting, and over what it really takes to help people build confidence at the machine.

And then we did something a little bold.

We stopped walking the show, pulled out the iPad, and built FOUR premium workshops for Golden Anchor Quilting happening June 25–27.

Right there. In real time.

From there, we hopped in an Uber to a fantastic local print shop (Cricket Press in West Hartford), printed flyers with QR codes for registration, and got them back into RaNae’s hands before the show even ended so she could begin sharing them immediately.

Because here’s what she told me:

People at Quilt Week have been asking her,
“When are you coming to New England?”

And now we get to say:
She is.

And she’s coming to Golden Anchor Quilting.

Each workshop is intentionally small—just 7 seats—so students receive personalized instruction, hands-on guidance, and a truly immersive experience.

This is not just another class.
This is a rare opportunity to learn directly from a nationally recognized educator in an intimate, high-impact setting.
