Hello Beautiful Golden Anchor Quilting Community,

The countdown is on! Our Quilts of Valor Mini-Retreat is happening this coming weekend! June 27–29, 2025 We’d love for you to be a part of this incredible weekend of service, stitching, and support for our veterans. There's still room!

We’ll be gathering in the conference rooms of the Freedom Building at the White River Junction VA Medical Center, turning donated fabrics into comforting, meaningful quilts for those who’ve served our country. Whether you can join us for one day or the whole retreat, your presence matters!

Retreat Hours:

Friday, June 27: 8:00 AM – Midnight
Saturday, June 28: 8:00 AM – Midnight
Sunday, June 29: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

What’s Included:

Plenty of tables, chairs, power, and space to sew or press
Irons and shared pressing stations
Free kits made with donated fabrics—precut or build-your-own
Patterns and donated fabric for inspiration
Coffee, tea, and water station all weekend
Shared snack table + simple meals provided:

Potluck Dinner Friday
Sandwiches Saturday Lunch
Pizza Sunday Lunch

Optional games, prizes, and new quilting friends!

What to Bring:

Sewing machine and tools you can't sew without
Thread and any fabric you’d like to work with
Snacks for the table or drinks for yourself
Layers to stay comfy
A positive attitude and a generous heart!

We are continuing to collect patriotic fabric, batting, and backing to support this event—and we welcome any connections to businesses who may want to donate food or funds to help fuel our efforts.

Still seeking long arm help after the retreat! If you have a long arm, and would be willing to help by quilting one or more of the tops after the retreat, let us know!
