The Classroom Is Buzzing — Come Join the Fun at Golden Anchor Quilting!

Hello Beautiful Golden Anchor Quilting Community!

We are absolutely loving our beautiful new home inside Frank's! The energy in the classroom has been incredible, and it’s been such a joy to see creativity blooming all around us. In just a short time, we’ve already had 3 towels, a yo-yo monkey doll, 2 pillow cases, our very first BOM sew along, 2 Japanese knot bags, 5 quilt tops, 4 flying geese totes, and 3 quilts bound right here in the new classroom! The hum of machines, the chatter of friends, and the growing piles of beautiful finishes are exactly what Golden Anchor Quilting is all about.

If you haven’t been to Frank’s in a while, you absolutely must come check it out! Frank’s just celebrated their first anniversary on June 13, and the transformation over this past year is truly mind blowing. The space is fresh, vibrant, and full of creative energy — the perfect home for all of us makers.

Monday, June 16 — Quilted Dish Mat (11:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Create a colorful quilted dish mat featuring a basket block center — or personalize it with your favorite quilt block! This 4-hour class includes your dish mat and pattern. (You may bring your own dish mat if you'd like to ensure color coordination; we recommend one that’s at least 12" x 18"). Cost: $45.00

Wednesday, June 18 and Wednesday, June 25 — Tangled Quilt (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days)
Join guest teacher Anne Blackburn and create a stunning Celtic-knot inspired quilt with easy piecing, beautiful scrappy options, and lunch included both days! Cost: $109.00

Thursday, June 19 — Open Sew (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Come play in our creative BERNINA classroom! Bring your own machine or rent one of ours. Our classroom is stocked with 7 BERNINA B570 machines with embroidery modules. Work on whatever project you choose—quilting, sewing, or crafting—and enjoy the company of fellow makers! Recharge your creative energy and make new friends while you stitch. Cost: $15.00

Friday, June 20 — Mondo or Midi Bag by Quiltsmart (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Join regional expert guest instructor Jacqui Murphy and make These bags work up so beautifully thanks to the pre-printed interfacing technique that makes them kind of magical! You get to choose which size to make. Sign up for both of Jacqui’s classes and save 10% on BOTH! Cost: $75.00

Saturday, June 21 — Chubby Charmer Bag (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Join regional expert guest instructor Jacqui Murphy and Sew a big, beautiful tote bag! Beginner-friendly and perfect for retreats, shopping trips, or project bags. Sunday, June 22 — Quilts of Valor Kit Cutting Day (11:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Whether you can make it to the retreat or not, come help us get kits ready for our sewists! We have donated fabrics, printed patterns, cutting mats, rotary cutters, and lots of fun to be had!
Cost: FREE
