A New Chapter for Golden Anchor Quilting — Thanks to You

You've Heard the Whispers... Now It's Official!

Over the past few weeks, you may have caught a whisper or noticed a few hints that something exciting was on the horizon for Golden Anchor Quilting. If you’ve visited Frank’s Bargain Center recently, you may have even seen a little construction magic happening. We are so excited to finally share the big news — Golden Anchor Quilting is moving into a beautiful new home inside Frank’s Bargain Center!

Our new space will be located on the right-hand side of the building as you face Frank’s, with entrance through the double glass doors. Parking will be shared with Frank’s, and you’ll be able to seamlessly pass between Frank’s Bargain Center and Golden Anchor Quilting as you explore everything both of our businesses have to offer.

Where You'll Find Us once we reopen:
Our new home will be inside Frank’s Bargain Center, located at 3607 Claremont Road, Charlestown, NH 03603 — just a quick drive from our current location! When you arrive, head to the right-hand side of the building and enter through the double glass doors. Plentiful parking is shared with Frank’s, making it easy and convenient for your visits.

Even more exciting — when we reopen, we are officially launching our BERNINA dealership! We’ll be bringing you a full lineup of BERNINA sewing machines, accessories, education, and expert support.

In many ways, this move feels like a joyful homecoming: there has always been wonderful overlap between the Golden Anchor Quilting and Frank’s Bargain Center communities, and now we’ll be working even more closely together to make your creative experience even better.

The truth is, the last two months since the flood at our current location have been some of the hardest — and some of the most blessing-filled — we have ever experienced. Challenges abounded, but your support, encouragement, and kindness were even bigger than the obstacles we faced. Every decision we made was centered around one question: How can we continue to serve and grow this incredible community?

In the background, even before the flood, we had been collaborating with Frank’s — teaching them how to sew, while they taught us a thing or two about business management! The idea to combine locations came to Louisa in the middle of the night, and when she called Meagan, it was hard to tell which of us was more excited.

It just made sense: Frank’s Bargain Center can provide the materials and supplies for quilting, sewing, knitting, crochet, cross stitch, and so many other wonderful crafts — and Golden Anchor Quilting can provide the services and education that bring those crafts to life.

We will still be Golden Anchor Quilting. They will still be Frank’s Bargain Center.
We’ll simply be under the same roof, working together more closely than ever!

We’re aiming to open our doors in mid-May, with a grand reopening celebration to follow! We’ll share official dates and details as soon as we can — and we can't wait to celebrate with you.

Important Note About Services During the Move:
As we prepare for the transition, we will only be available by appointment for quilt and sewing machine pickup and drop-off until the move is complete.
If you need to schedule a time, please reach out to us directly — we’re happy to coordinate with you!

Things are already in motion — our longarm machines (and Darren!) are hitting the road bright and early Monday morning to start setting up the new space. It's happening, and we can’t wait to share it all with you!
