Quick Update and YouTube LIVE link for Tuesday December 17
Hello Beautiful Golden Anchor Quilting Community!
We have been so busy getting quilts done for the holidays, helping folks pick out last minute projects and fabrics, getting gift cards lined up, and filling in our class and event calendar for January, February, and March! This past week we had a BLAST playing and learning with the folks from Frank's Bargain Center! They came to us for a 10 minute table runner class as their holiday staff party! We also finished the long arm quilting on all of our most recent All Inclusive Learn to Quilt student quilts! All 5 of them are quilted and ready for the students to arrive on Wednesday and learn how to trim and bind them! They are all so unique and so wonderful! There are just 2 spots left in our January Sunday All Inclusive Learn to Quilt series starting January 12!

Louisa's Birthday is Sunday, December 29, and some of our wonderful Ambas-SEW-dors have 'informed' us that Louisa and Darren will take that day off, but they will keep the shop open for everyone else to come enjoy!
We have continued to add classes to January and February! An apron class with a child size apron option this time (please bring kiddos to sew with us for this one!), and a new Opportunity Tote class have already been added. This week we will be adding a prairie point table runner (very beginner friendly), a ruffled zipper pouch made with just 2 fat quarters and a zipper, and a special "Galentine's Day" opportunity for folks to come quilt all day and into the night on Valentine's Day! We are also starting to see registration fill up for our first Quilts of Valor retreat in March! The retreat was announced on November 11, 2024, and will be held at the White River Junction VA hopsital on March 28-30. Check out the details, and register to sew at the retreat HERE. You can also choose to register as a helper (pressing, cutting, helping with food etc) HERE. Registration is FREE, and we are working to make this a great event for all!
