Veterans Day Announcement

Hello Beautiful Golden Anchor Quilting Community!

In the spirit of honoring our veterans not only on Veterans day but throughout the year, we're excited to announce a very special project and mini retreat opportunity! We've reserved a large, well lit, and comfortable space at the White River Junction, VT VA hospital from March 28-30, 2025, for a charitable sewing retreat dedicated to making quilts for Quilts of Valor. We hope to collaborate with as many local guilds and other quilt shops as possible to fill the space with creativity, generosity, and community! 

Our goal is to gather 50 or more sewists and supporters together to create as many quilts as possilbe, and we'd love for you to join us! More details will be coming soon, but for now, we encourage everyone to start thinking about fabrics they might donate to the project, and mark your calendars for this inspiring weekend together! 

If you belong to a local guild we'd love help getting on your guild's calendar to share the event in person! If you know someone who owns another quilt shop who might be interested in supporting this effort, please send us their contact information or share ours with them!  We're also looking for corportate sponsorship to help us make this event a reality, so if you know of any businesses intereested in supporting a meaningful community project, we'd love to connect with them as well!
