Summer seems to finally have decided to arrive! Our AC is keeping us cool! Any time you need to "chill out" come on down and enjoy the added bonus of being around all of this beautiful fabric! So many new fabrics have come in the last couple of months...if you haven't been in, there is lots to explore!
Mobile Sharpening Day is HERE!
Rick from Absolute Edge will be here on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 10:00am-3:00pm to sharpen up all of your scissors and pinking shears for $10-$15/pair and in 10-15 minutes! You can drop in and shop while he sharpens, or you can drop your scissors and shears off to the shop before he comes, and pick them up next time you're here.
Our NEW SUMMER HOURS are:
Tuesday - Thursday 10:00am-5:00pm
Friday 10:00am-8:00pm
Saturday-Sunday 11:00am-4:00pm (we will open at 10:00am this Saturday for mobile sharpening)
We think we have the hours changed on all of the places they show up online,
but if you find a spot we missed, please let us know!

Here is your heads up that we will be having THE BIGGEST SALE OF THE YEAR
Tuesday, July 1-Saturday July 6. We will have in-person and online specials, prizes to be won, and discounts that will Let Freedom RING!
The deepest discounts will be on Saturday, July 6 because Louisa and Darren are going to Darren's high school reunion, and while the "boss" is away the staff will play!
This sale is the perfect opportunity to stock up for all of that sewing we will want to do when the weather starts to cool off again!
We are including EVERYTHING in the shop with discounts ranging from 15%-75% off!
LIVE with Louisa is Coming Back!
You keep telling us you miss getting live updates from Louisa on YouTube....We have heard you!
Our first "episode" will be LIVE on YouTube on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 6:00pm and will include a live reveal of the details of the sale, shop news, a small project tutorial, and a prize drawing if we reach 100 live viewers during the airing! Have a watch party with some of your quilty friends! We will send the link and information for the live on the new Golden Anchor Quilting YouTube channel as soon as possible!
Sample Sewers Wanted
We are still in need of sample sewers! We have lots of new fabric lines and patterns we would love to show off here at the shop, but only so many hours in the day to sew! Please consider helping us out by making samples for the shop. We offer a choice between getting the sample back when it's done being on display, or choosing an equivalent project or kit as our thank you for your time and talent! Call, email, or stop by if you have interest in joining our team of sample sewers!
