Four Pines Quilting

Hello Four PInes Community!

For those of you who I have not yet had the pleasure to meet, my name is Louisa. You may have heard some rumors that the shop is changing hands, I am the one who is going to keep the shop going! I will be doing this with the help of my fiance (Darren) and my daughter (Izzy).

We will also (very thankfully) still have the wonderful blessings of:

  • Brenda helping in the shop and making shop samples and teaching classes
  • Dani working on the website and inventory in the background
  • Lynn S. helping in the shop on Saturday's and teaching some classes
  • Becky S. teaching classes and helping me brainstorm how to teach people just how powerful their Brother Machines are
  • Lynn L. helping me keep the longarm machines running
  • Roni stepping up to be our Kimberbell coordinator
  • Eddie doing sewing machine repair and service in the shop on Thursday's
  • And of course, Brent helping out when he wants to come play in the shop (without all the stress of being the owner he says it's quite fun!)

WOW we have an incredible crew!

The shop is open this week with extended holiday hours and our ongoing End of Bolt sale (so we don't have to count as many bolts during inventory week!):

Wednesday 10:00am-6:00pm

Thursday 10:00am-8:00pm

Friday 10:00am-8:00pm

Saturday 9:00am-6:00pm

Sunday (12/24) 9:00am-3:00pm

End of Bolt sale:

Clear a bolt for us and you get:

1-3 yards 25% off

4-6 yards 30% off

7-9 yards 35% off

10+ yards 40% off

Clear more than one bolt and get an extra 5% off all of your cleared bolt purchases!

This applies to all yardage on bolts in the shop! What a bargain!!!

At the end of business on Sunday 12/24 we will close the shop to level out the inventory and prepare for a fresh start in 2024. The shop will be closed from 12/25/23-1/1/24

We will reopen on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 10:00am for a great new year!

We are going to use the inventory week to also finalize our class schedule for the start of the year. We will have a wide variety of classes from beginner quilting classes, make and take workshops, more mug rugs, skill building classes, and even some classes to make things we can wear! We will send out a newsletter when we have posted the class schedule and opened classes up for registration.

Lynn and Louisa have been working extra hard to keep the longarm machines running! We named the big machine Gertrude and the smaller one Gladys, that way we can talk to them and keep them on track! We have just 2 quilts left with "Christmas Rush" on the work order! We are confident we can get them done by the end of the day on Thursday 12/21/23 so you have time to bind and wrap! Once the Christmas rush quilts are done, we have a strong line up of quilts to get done that folks have dropped off with less of a rush on them! We are proud of the quilting that is coming off of the machines in the last few weeks, and we hope you can see how hard we are working to get quality quilting out the door!

We have instituted a new weekly drawing for a $10 gift card for purchases made with cash or check!

The 7 classroom Luminaires are back in the shop and have been bringing folks back in to play! We ran three successful intro to mug rug classes with Becky S at the helm! We know there will be so much more fun to be had in this avenue!

Another project going on in the background (thank you Dani!!) is to merge our two email lists and ensure that account information is up to date, and that folks only get one email when we send things out, please email if you get more than one of this newsletter, as this may mean we need to merge your accounts (this will also help to ensure that you are earning your rewards with every purchase!).

We have joined the Chamber of Commerce, and are participating in their "Shop local" campaign through 1/16/24. We have punch cards and a punch to fill cards you have from other merchants.

I think that's all for now, I know there is more I want to share with all of you, but I have to save something for the next newsletter!

I want to take a moment and thank this beautiful community for all of the love, support, cheering, and warm hugs you have brought to the moment of us working to keep Four Pines Quilting alive and well in Claremont! We can not do this without you! We don't want to do this without you! Thank you for being on this journey with us!

In stitches,

Louisa, Darren, Izzy, and the whole crew at Four Pines Quilting
