The Sew Together Bag is a beloved project for good reason. In this two-day class series, students will create a fully lined, zippered organizer featuring multiple interior compartments, secure closures, and a bound exterior edge.

This class focuses on accurate construction, working with multiple zippers, layering techniques, and clean binding. While not difficult, the project benefits from being spread over two sessions to allow for careful assembly and a polished finish.

Students will leave with a completed bag and increased confidence working with zippers and structured sewing projects.

Students should be comfortable with:

• Sewing machine operation

• Consistent seam allowances

• Rotary cutting

• Sewing with zippers

Pattern:

  • Pattern must be purchased by the student prior to class

Fabric & Supplies (per pattern requirements):

• Exterior fabric: 1 fat quarter (18" x 22")

• Lining fabric: 1/2 yard (width of fabric)

• Pocket lining fabric: 1/3 yard (width of fabric)

• Binding fabric: 1 fat quarter (18" x 22")

• 1/2 yard fusible lightweight interfacing

• One 18" zipper

• Three 9" zippers

  Students are encouraged to read through the pattern before class.

Machines

Students may bring their own sewing machine or rent a classroom machine for $10

Cancellation Policy 

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us at least 72 hours in advance by call or text, there is a waitlist, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
No refunds (only credits) are provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance.
If we need to cancel due to low enrollment (fewer than 3 students 72 hours prior), or for weather-related reasons, we will offer a rescheduled session or store credit.
