Flying Geese Technique Class with Wall Hanging - Tuesday 1/27/26 10:30am - 4:30pm

Learn how to confidently make Flying Geese, one of the more popular (and sometimes intimidating!) quilt blocks. In this class, we’ll focus on technique while creating a small wall hanging project you can take home.

Using the Creative Grids Ultimate Flying Geese Tool, you’ll discover how to make four geese at a time with ease. The ruler includes a cutting chart for two different methods, and you’ll also learn how to oversize and trim to perfection. With eight block sizes available (from ½" x 1" up to 4" x 8" finished), this tool will become a go-to in your quilting toolbox.

By the end of class, you’ll not only have a finished wall hanging top, but you’ll also have the confidence to add Flying Geese to borders, blocks, and entire quilts.

Fabric Requirements

• Fabrics for wall hanging 
  1/4 yd or FQ of 4 different flying geese center fabrics

• 1/2 yd of flying geese background fabric
• 1/4 yd of contrast from the background for sashing and inner border
• 1/2 yd for outer border

If you are unable to attend the class, a refund will only be provided if you notify us at least 72 hours in advance by call or text, there is a waitlist, and we are able to fill your spot. Otherwise, a credit for a future class will be issued.
No refunds (only credits) are provided if you notify us less than 72 hours in advance.
If we need to cancel due to low enrollment (fewer than 3 students 72 hours prior), or for weather-related reasons, we will offer a rescheduled session or store credit.
