Jelly Roll Race Quilt to Celebrate National Jelly Roll Day! - 10:30am - 4:30pm
Celebrate National Jelly Roll Day with a fun, fast, and satisfying quilt project! The Jelly Roll Race is perfect for beginners who can sew a consistent ¼" seam, yet still enjoyable for experienced quilters looking for a quick finish. Watch your quilt top come together with some magic in record time while enjoying a relaxed, social sewing day.
- Speed: The folding and sewing method makes it a quick project, especially for beginners.
- No Quilt Math: No complex calculations or measurements are needed for the basic version.
- Unique Look: The final design emerges as you sew, creating a one-of-a-kind pattern.
- Adjustable Size: While the standard size is around 50 x 64 inches, it's possible to adjust the size by adding more strips or using a different number of folds.
- Beginner-Friendly: The simple construction and lack of precise cutting requirements make it an excellent project for those new to quilting.
What to Bring:

1 jelly roll (42 pre-cut 2½" strips) OR a set of 42 fabric strips cut from your stash — scrappy is welcome!

Sewing machine in good working order (or rent one from the shop for $15)

Basic sewing supplies (thread, pins/clips, scissors, seam ripper, etc. or use our classroom supply)

¼" presser foot recommended

Classroom cutting mats, rotary cutters, rulers, and irons

Guidance and tips for success throughout the day
You’ll leave with a finished quilt top and the skills to make more — these make wonderful gifts!
Cancellation Policy:
Refunds are issued only if you notify Golden Anchor Quilting at least 72 hours in advance and we can fill your spot. Otherwise, a store credit will be issued. No refunds for cancellations made within 72 hours — only store credit. Classes with fewer than 3 students may be canceled, with credit offered. Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled or credited.
