Fabric & Kits:
The Farm Fresh Sew Along Fabric Kit by Riley Blake Designs features fabric from the Farmer’s Daughter collection, designed by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet. These prints are inspired by Lori’s childhood and her experiences as the daughter of multi-generational farmers.
This Sew-Along is a fresh take on a classic — you’ll revisit Lori’s charming novelty blocks from Farm Girl Vintage and Farm Girl Vintage 2
• Books not included — Farm Girl Vintage 1 and 2 must be purchased separately at Frank’s Bargain Center with class related discount
• Fat Quarter Starter Bundles also available which you can add to as we make progress and you want just the perfect color cat (or cow, or barn, or apron lol)
Class Description:
The Farm Fresh Block of the Month is a year-long quilting journey inspired by Lori Holt’s beloved Farm Girl Vintage books. Each month, you’ll create farmhouse-style blocks while learning tips, tricks, and techniques to make your quilt shine.
We’ll meet twice per month for:
• Guided tutorials and demos
• Special project themes (like matching aprons or pie potlucks)
• Hands-on sewing time in a supportive group
• Homework between sessions for cutting and prepping
Your first session will focus on:
• Planning your project and organizing your materials
• Labeling and storing cut pieces
• Cutting strategies and organization tips
• Choosing background fabrics (8 yards)
• Tools to make your life easier (like the Clearly Slotted Perfect Trimmer)
• Sewing your first block together
Homework: Cut pieces for your next two blocks
Supplies & Materials:
• Farm Girl Vintage Books 1 & 2 (required)
• Fabric kit or FQ bundle from Frank’s (purchased separately)
• Basic sewing supplies and machine in good working order (or rent classroom machine)
• Specialty tools will be recommended in class
Cancellation Policy:
Refunds are issued only if students notify Golden Anchor Quilting at least 72 hours in advance and the spot can be filled. Otherwise, a store credit is issued. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours — only store credit. Classes with fewer than 3 students may be canceled, with credit offered.
