Join us at Golden Anchor Quilting to sew The Big Block Quilt by Black Cat Creations — a stunning project that delivers dramatic impact with minimal fuss. This pattern is ideal for showcasing large-scale prints, and we’ll be sewing with the elegant “Louisa” fabric line by Clothworks — a rich blend of deep purples, pale lilacs, vintage florals, and romantic textures that are sure to turn heads.

This quilt comes together quickly with oversized blocks and simple construction, making it a perfect project for confident beginners and experienced quilters alike. You’ll learn strategies for cutting and layout, working with large focal prints, and assembling blocks for maximum visual flow. The finished quilt is bold, stylish, and entirely yours.

Fabric kits for this class will be available exclusively at Frank’s Bargain Center, just steps from our classroom. We encourage students to visit Frank’s in advance to get their “Louisa” kit and get inspired by the full fabric collection.

Class is held at Golden Anchor Quilting, where you’ll have access to classroom tools, guidance, and good company. Bring your machine or rent one of ours — just come ready to sew something truly special.

Skill Level:
Confident beginner and up. Students should be comfortable operating a sewing machine and familiar with rotary cutting. We’ll guide you through the rest!

Materials Needed:

• Big Block Quilt pattern by Black Cat Creations (included with your registration)

• Fabric kit from Frank’s Bargain Center (available separately)

• Sewing machine in good working order (or rent one of ours)

• Basic quilting supplies: rotary cutter, ruler, mat, thread, pins, etc. (all of which we have in our classroom)

Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel your registration, refunds are available if we are notified at least 72 hours in advance and your spot can be filled. If we cannot fill the spot, or if you cancel within 72 hours of the class, we will issue store credit instead. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, we will either reschedule the class or issue store credit. Classes with fewer than three students may be canceled at the shop’s discretion, with credit offered toward a future class.
