Quilted Apple Bottom Bag

This quilted bag is so much fun to make! You can choose to make the main panel out of one piece of focus fabric, or you can piece it and then quilt it! The pattern calls for hand binding, but we also figured out how to machine bind both steps. You can choose which method you prefer.

Class includes the fusible fleece, pattern, and instruction.

Other materials needed:

Main Fabric (or pieced panel): 12” x 25” (you could use 3/8 yard cut or piece the panel to make this size)
Lining fabric: Same as main fabric requirement
Side Panel: (can be same as lining, same as main, or a third fabric) 4 6”x10” pieces  2 pieces used on outside of bag 2 pieces used in lining
Handles: 5” x length of strap you desire (pattern calls for 15.75” we found these to be quite short and made ours closer to 25”)
Binding: 2 pieces of 1 3/4” x WOF

Rotary cutter (available at the shop)
clips or pins (available at the shop)
Fabric marking pen (available at the shop)

You can bring your own machine (include a walking foot for quilting) or rent one of ours for $10 for the duration of class.
