Join us for a beginner paper piecing quilt pattern called the Fractured Star by Quiltworx!
This is a very simple pattern with no curves involved.
Materials List:
Quiltworx Fractured Star pattern (Included in Class Registration)
Add-A-Quarter ruler (available for purchase at the shop)
Fold template (thin, rigid plastic template sheet cut into a 3 X 10-12” strip) (we have template sheets available for purchase at Golden Anchor)
Reposition-able glue stick (Elmer’s makes a version as does Scotch brand) (we have these available at the shop)
Glue stick pen (We have these available at the shop)
Rotary cutter (We have these available at the shop)
Fabric:
Jelly roll (42 2 1/2” strips)
Accent fabric: 4 1/4 yards
Background and border accent: 2 7/8 yards
Binding: 5/8 yards (for planning purposes)
Backing: 5 yards (not required to bring to class)
If you choose not to use a jelly roll you will need (in addition to the background, binding, and backing):
Lighter colored fabric: 7/8 yards= (12) 2 1/2” strips
Medium/darker fabric: 1 3/4 yards= (24) 2 1/2” strips
Light/medium fabric for pieced border: 5/8 yards= (8) 2 1/2” strips
