Machine Quilting
Our long arm quilter, Darren, has completed well over 900 quilts in the year and a half we have been here. He is honored to be part of your quilts journey, and enjoys that he is part of creating family heirlooms. We do end-to-end or edge-to-edge all over quilting. Custom work such as free hand, echo stitching, and borders are not available yet. Our typical turn around time is 4-6 weeks. Call anytime for an up-to-date timeframe.Expedited service
We know that crafting doesn't always go according to our schedules. If you find yourself in a time crunch to get a quilt done, we offer two options for expedited quilting:
3-day service is available for an extra $60
7-day service is available for an additional $45
Faster than 3-day service may be available at the discretion of Darren, our long arm quilter.
Patterns
All patterns currently installed on the quilt machine are available at no extra cost. We will be happy to purchase and use any pattern from annebright.com or sweetdreamsquiltstudio.com however, there is a one time $6 service charge for download and installation of the pattern.
Thread
Prices include standard cotton quilting threads we have on hand. We do offer a wide variety of alternative threads you can choose to use, starting at $3 per spool.
Batting
We carry Quilter's Dream Batting in cotton, wool, poly, and blends. We can get natural, white, or black batting on request. Batting is a separate purchase from the quilting services. You may bring your own batting, but we will need to assess whether it will work on our long arm, and we reserve the option to decline batting from other sources when it won't work on our machines.

How to prepare your quilt for long arm service at Golden Anchor Quilting:
1. Finish your quilt top: check all of your seams to make sure there aren't any holes. Press your quilt top. Fold with the seams towards one another to protect them from rubbing in transit.
2. Prepare your backing: Make sure you have 4-5" bigger backing on all four sides compared to your quilt top. (We can apply leaders to short backs, but there is a $10 charge per leader). If your back needs to be pieced, sew it together with a 1/2" seam allowance, and trim off any selvages that would be included in the quilt. They wash and wear differently and can create bumps and bubbles in the quilt over time and washing. Note which way the seam goes compared to the quilt top. For instance, if your quilt is a rectangle, does the seam on the back go across the short or long side of the quilt top.
3. Batting: We have batting available for purchase (see above). If you bring your own batting, ensure it is at least 2" bigger than your quilt top on all sides.
