Machine Quilting

Golden Anchor Quilting now has two long arm quilters—and that means your quilts can be ready faster than ever without compromising quality or workmanship.

Please help us welcome Doug to the team! He’s Geneva’s son (yes, that Geneva we already adore!) and joined us after a few “shadow days” with Darren turned into a full-blown passion for the craft.

Our first longarm quilter, Darren, has completed over 1200 quilts in the past 2 years. He’s honored to be part of your quilt’s journey and loves contributing to cherished family heirlooms.

We offer end-to-end (edge-to-edge) quilting. Custom work such as borders, freehand, and echo stitching is not currently available. Our standard turnaround time is 3-4 weeks. Please call us for current scheduling.

Preparing Your Quilt for Longarm Service

  1. Finish the Quilt Top: Check for any open seams, press your quilt, and fold with seams inside to protect it.
  2. Backing: Make sure backing is 4–5" larger on all sides. If pieced, use a ½" seam and remove selvages. Note seam direction (across long or short side).
  3. Batting: Ensure it is 2" larger than your quilt top on all sides. If using your own, we’ll assess it before accepting.
